More about me

Lucky Things helps women to feel more confident about their career and wellbeing. With over 15 years corporate experience in HR, people development and coaching, I’ve helped others to learn more about leading their careers and growing their confidence. Every part of my career kaleidoscope has led to the next; building amazing networks and taking up opportunities to work with talented people. My career has spanned across working in magazines, fashion, the music industry, and more recently corporate city life.

I’m a connector. I connect people with others and also with things they might enjoy. In 2016, I set up the social and development events for women –  the Lucky Things Meet Ups. Check out #LuckyThingsMeetUp on Instagram to see the feedback so far. You can also hear me talking about Lucky Things over on BBC Radio/BBC News here. As a HR expert, I’ve talked on stage about managing your online wellbeing  at Blogtacular 2017. In May 2017, courtesy of Dove, I attended the world’s largest social media conference Mom 2.0 in Orlando.

IMG_1633Life isn’t always straightforward. We made it through a long and unpredictable journey ending up with two IVF daughters. I was featured on the Mumsnet Blog of the Day for  Will we tell our children they are IVF babies?

A little more about the H-crew… Me and my husband Mr H live in London and we love showing it off to our crew; four-year old ‘Big Munch’ and two-year old ‘Toddler Munch’.  As a family, we love being creative, out and about in London, weekends away in the UK and lounge discos.

Thanks Samara for your lovely comment. Being open and talking about “vulnerable’ things is a big thing. But I love sharing how I feel about things and hope others reading my posts as much as I love writing them. Enjoy lucky things xx

I really enjoy following Lucky Things.
As a new mum back at work, there are so many relevant, interesting blogs which I find very useful, informative and reassuring!
I love the fashion blogs too, especially the tips.
Your style is very relaxing to read but informative, open and refreshing at the same time. The way you have shared your personal stories is admirable.
Please keep it up as it makes my train journey to and from work so much more enjoyable! X

Hey Kimberly, thanks so much for leaving your honest comment (especially when I know you must be so busy and you have a little one to feed and cuddle!). So glad Lucky Things offers some happy reading as well as a bit of fun style in the middle of the night. Wishing you lots of lucky things x

Hey Laura – well all I can say is what is a good blogger?? Is there such a thing. The great thing about blogging is that we set the rules (they’re our blogs). Ah lovely to hear what you think of Lucky Things – thanks for that.
If you’re around the London area you should check out the Lucky Things Meet Ups. A really nice crowd is coming along in January. Nice to have met you over at the #coolmumclub Keep in touch! xx Sunita

    Hey Sunita,

I came across your blog I think in a magazine recently….might be Grazia actually. Anyway, the topics look really interesting, so looking forward to exploring the articles here. The ivf journey bit definitely resonates with me, we’ve just tried our 3rd attempt this year and planning to do another later in the year but it’s hard on a number of levels so really grateful for you raising awareness around the subject.

    Thanks again

    Jen

Hi Jen thanks so much for stopping by Lucky Things. It’s great that you’ve come across my blog. I really hope you enjoy the different themes. I’m going to be featuring others’ IVF journeys on Lucky Things from next week. So I hope they are insightful and possibly helpful whilst you go through your own journey. I guess I want to raise awareness of IVF and the support available as much as I can. Do drop me a line at sunita@luckythings.co.uk as it would be nice to keep in touch. Thanks again. Sunita
